jayalalithaaAn Indian artist and politician who assisted five terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Dr. Jayalalithaa Jayaram was born on 24 February 1948 to 5 December 2016, she was a leading actress in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi film industries.

Dr. Jayalalithaa’s unveiling in Tamil cinema was the starring character in Vennira Aadai (1965), in Telugu films as lead actress in Manushulu Mamathalu and in Hindi film was a Izzat, with Dharmendra. Dr. Ramachandran, who had been chief minister of the TN state since 1977, was subservient in preceding her to politics.

She was the general secretary of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK). After her struggling, Jayalalithaa was again elected as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in the May 2016 elections. On 22 September 2016, Jayalalithaa was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, for infection and acute dehydration. After a long 74 days of treatment, The hospital officially announced the death of the chief minister on 5 December 2016 at 11:30 PM.
