Ooruni Foundation is a Non-Profit and Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) which anchors, augments and advocates the pivotal 3Es of human life – Education, Environment and Equal Opportunities for a sustainable community development. Ooruni formed by six HR professionals during Chennai floods in 2015. Ooruni has got more than 100 dedicated volunteers and most of them are corporate professionals.
Ooruni Foundation is launching a unique of its kind an Award “Working Women Achiever Award” (WWAA) to facilitate and generate industry wide recognition of achievements and progressive contributions of working women at every level and every industry. Award will be decided by the elite panel of Eminent Women across India. 50 Awards will be given across industries including Manufacturing, IT &ITES, Services and Retail, Media & Entertainment, Government and Public sector, Education, Self-employed and Start up and Unorganized.
The WWA Award Ceremony is organized on 3rd March 2018 (Saturday) 3.30 pm onwards at MCC School, Harington Road, Chetpet, Chennai in a grand manner wherein which we expect a gathering of around 1000 people which is inclusive of more than celebrities, women activists, achievers, HR professionals and Senior Level Management personnel from the various industries and Eminent women personalities across India.
Honorable High Court Judge, Justice Mr. R.Mahadevan will be the Chief Guest of the functions and he will give away special awards and release the Book of 100 Working Women Achievers in 2017 – 2018. State Women Commission Chairperson Mrs. Kannagi will be presiding over the function. Apart from this eminent guests also participating in the function as Guests including Mrs. Bharathi Baskar and Actor Mr. Aaari
This event will be highlighted by Award Ceremony, Cultural events, Fashion Show and exhibition of talents by working women and their kids.
