An initiative to empower and encourage women in the field of sports
S10 Health, a vibrant e-commerce healthcare organization, promoted by leading healthcare industry veterans and physicians, announced its recent initiative of “S10 Health Women Football League”, in collaboration with the Chennai Football Association. This association is to showcase the talent of women football enthusiasts and players from various schools and colleges across the city. The inaugural edition of S10 Health Women Football League will include teams from 14 reputed institutions – 8 women’s colleges and academies and 6 girls school teams – namely Ethiraj College, Bhavan’s Rajaji Vidyashram, Queen Mary’s College and many more. The tournament begins on 24th January 2016 at Nehru stadium B Ground at 6.30am and ends on the 1st week of April.

Ltd, Dr. Dobson Dominic, Medical Director- S10 Health Sports Lounge, Mr.R.Jayachandran, Chairman, Chennai Football Association – Women’s Wing and many other sports enthusiasts.
S10 Health promotes the development of women’s football and pledges to support the sport which gives a boost to the women players, coaches and referees. Through this association, S10 Health aims to focus on providing sports medicine support programs such as physical fitness, improving mental strength and competitiveness,sports nutrition and injury prevention and management, along with many other core services of S10Sports Lounge.

Contrary to popular perception that football in India enjoys limited popularity and only men play this sport, several states have formed their own leagues that host football tournaments for both men and women. We are extremely excited about the association with S10 Health, since it promotes the sport for women in a health friendly way.”
